By booking with KeepSnap, you agree to the following rental policies. These terms are designed to keep your experience smooth while protecting our cameras, decor, and future events.
Instant Camera Bundles – Rental Policy
By booking, the renter agrees to the following:
Security Deposit: $50 per camera, paid by Interac e-transfer. Held until return inspection. Refunded via e-transfer to renter’s email if camera is intact. Deductions for damage incur documented charges.
Return: Must be to the directed location before 2:00PM the following day after rental end. Late returns incur extra fees or lost-booking charges (see Butterfly clause).
Inspection: We inspect the camera immediately on return. If no damage beyond normal wear is found, we refund the $50 deposit promptly. Any damage or missing parts are documented and billed.
Damage: Normal wear (minor scuffs/cleaning) is not charged. Chargeable damage includes broken/cracked parts, scratched lens/viewfinder, malfunctioning shutter/flash, and water/liquid damage. Missing accessories (cap, strap, battery, etc.) are charged at replacement cost.
Lost/Stolen: If the camera is not returned, renter pays full replacement cost (deposit applied first; remaining balance invoiced).
Butterfly-Effect Clause: Renter is liable for cascading effects. For example, if a late return forces cancellation of another booking, you agree to reimburse the lost rental fee.
Instant Camera Table Rentals – Rental Policy
By booking, the renter agrees to the following:
Setup & Teardown: KeepSnap will handle full setup and teardown of the instant camera table, including decorations, cameras, and film. Setup details (location, timing) must be confirmed in advance. Renter must ensure access to the venue at agreed times.
Deposit: A $50 security deposit is required per camera via e-transfer. This deposit is held for damages or loss of cameras, all items (excluding films), and is not applied to rental fees. Deposits will be returned via e-transfer to the email used for the order after inspection.
Condition of Items: All items (tables, decor, props, cameras, accessories) must remain in re-rentable condition, excluding film which is consumable.
Normal wear- minor scuffs or light cleaning required → no charge
Damage - includes stains (food, drinks, wax), burns, tears, cracks, missing items, excessive dirt, or any condition requiring repair/replacement
Camera Damage: Damage includes drops, impact damage, malfunction due to misuse, missing parts, and any liquid exposure (water, alcohol, etc.).
Film Usage: Film is consumable. All used film packs are chargeable and not required to be returned unused.
Loss, Theft, or Missing Items: Renter is fully responsible for all items during the event. Any lost, stolen, or missing items will be charged at full replacement value.
Inspection & Deposit Return: All items are inspected after teardown. Deposits are returned within 1–3 business days if no issues are found. Any damages or missing items will be deducted with documentation.
Butterfly Effect Liability Clause: Renter accepts full responsibility for any direct or indirect loss resulting from misuse, damage, or interference with equipment. This includes third-party claims, replacement costs, and business losses (e.g., inability to fulfill future bookings due to damaged items).
General Responsibility
Renter is responsible for guest use of all equipment and ensuring items are treated with care throughout the event.
Late Returns
To ensure availability for the next event, please return equipment on time. Late fees apply per day after the scheduled return date unless pre-arranged.
Cancellation Policy
CARE & FLEXIBILITY
72+ Hours Notice
Cancel more than 72 hours before your rental start time and you’ll receive a full refund of your rental fee. Your security deposit is fully returned.
72 to 48 Hours Notice
Cancel within 72 to 48 hours of your rental start time and 50% of your rental fee will be charged. Your security deposit is fully returned.
48 Hours or Less
Cancellations made 48 hours or less before the rental start time are non-refundable. However, your security deposit will still be fully returned.
Note: Regardless of the cancellation timing, all security deposits are returned in full provided no equipment was dispatched.
