Rental Policy

By booking, the renter agrees to the following: Security Deposit: $50 per camera, paid by Interac e-transfer. Held until return inspection. Refunded via e-transfer to renter’s email if camera is intact. Deductions for damage incur documented charges. Return: Must be to the directed location before 2:00PM the following day after rental end. Late returns incur extra fees or lost-booking charges (see Butterfly clause). Inspection: We inspect the camera immediately on return. If no damage beyond normal wear is found, we refund the $50 deposit promptly. Any damage or missing parts are documented and billed. Damage: Normal wear (minor scuffs/cleaning) is not charged. Chargeable damage includes broken/cracked parts, scratched lens/viewfinder, malfunctioning shutter/flash, and water/liquid damage. Missing accessories (cap, strap, battery, etc.) are charged at replacement cost. Lost/Stolen: If the camera is not returned, renter pays full replacement cost (deposit applied first; remaining balance invoiced). Butterfly-Effect Clause: Renter is liable for cascading effects. For example, if a late return forces cancellation of another booking, you agree to reimburse the lost rental fee.
